Abstract

A hierarchical three-dimension mesh model sharing method is proposed. The method, also called (t1, t2, iK, tr, n)-threshold sharing, encodes an original three-dimension mesh model into n model-shares, where t1 T t2 T iK T tr T n. Any t1 model-shares provide the least quantity for revealing the smallest part of the original three-dimension mesh model. More model-shares are received, the revealed part becomes larger. Because tr model-shares are received the original three-dimension mesh model is revealed with very little distortion, the method is thus highly fault-tolerant.
