Abstract

The statistical properties of some horizontal and vertical fractures located in the Grands Causses are studied. Results relative to the vertical structures can be interpreted by a power law. Various distributions are used for the horizontal structures, such as the Poissonian or the fractal character of the fractures. Finally, the hydraulic properties of the horizontal network are calculated and discussed.
