Abstract

If Hermitian mass matrices for both up and down sectors have parallel dynamical origins in a perturbative structure around a heavy quark, then unless very precise cancellations are imposed, there are only two types of mass matrices consistent with the observed structure of flavor mixing. In one, the mixing matrix is formed through an interplay between the up and down sectors, while in the other the down sector alone dominates in the mixing matrix.
