Abstract

In this paper a two-level non-iterative sheme for control of large-scale multibody mechanical systems is presented, based on the structural decomposition of the system. On the first level optimal decentralized subcontrollers are synthesized for each isolated subsystem. An additional control is obtained on the upper level, which ensures asymptotic stability of the overall system and satisfactory near-optimum performance.
