Abstract
In this paper the notions of finite analytic partition, dynamical consistency, and partition machines (originally developed in (Wei, 1995; Caines and Wei, 1998) for dynamical systems on differentiate manifolds) is generalized to hybrid systems. The theory is illustrated via a highly simplified air traffic management example which employs new conditions for the global controllability of nonlinear systems (Caines and Lemon, 1998; Lemch and Caines, 1998).
