Abstract

Atomically precise Ag-doped polyoxo-titanium oxo clusters (Ag-PTCs) are beneficial for the investigation on structure-property relationship of silver doped TiO2 materials. Although several Ag-PTC clusters have been reported, their hierarchical assembly into multidimensional structures remains unexplored. In this work, di-phosphine ligands with various carbon chain lengths were exploited to stabilize and induce the hierarchical assembly of Ti8Ag2 oxo clusters. Correspondingly, cis- and trans-isomers of {Ti8Ag2} are generated in the discrete cluster (PTC-337) and two 1D-chains (PTC-338 and PTC-339), respectively. Light absorption behaviors of the obtained compounds were also studied.
