Abstract
The town of Rhyl, situated on the coast of North Wales, has been awarded a ‘blue flag’ by the European Union for its clean beaches. This standard signifies that the resort suffers from less than one sewage spill per bathing season and generally has well-swept and maintained beaches with clean seawater. Much of the thanks for this is due to Hidrostal, who have constructed a new pumping station in the town and reordered its foul and storm water handling capabilities.
