Abstract
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic autoinflammatory skin disorder characterized by recurrent painful nodules, abscesses, sinus tracts, and scarring on intertriginous body areas. Perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens (PCAS) is a component of the follicular occlusion tetrad along with HS, acne conglobata, and pilonidal cyst. We report a case of HS with PCAS that was successfully treated with adalimumab, a human anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) monoclonal antibody.
