Abstract
Introduction. In the context of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, there is a great need for different means of dealing with children's traumas. An effective means of addressing trauma in children is art therapy, in particular, puppet therapy, which helps to build an adequate system of psychological protection. Aim: Theoretical substantiation of the model of Hibuki-therapy as a method of puppet therapy and its role in overcoming mental trauma in children. Methods. Theoretical methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, and analogy. Results. Hibuki-therapy as a toy therapy is effective in dealing with children who experienced severe and lasting emotional shock and pain caused by an extremely upsetting experience. The author describes the process of Hibuki's becoming a therapeutic model, which draws on the premise that children who actively oppose stressful situations can relieve their fears and better adapt to life after a mental trauma. Conclusions. Hibuki-therapy can help Ukrainian children to recover from war trauma.
