Abstract

A previously developed method is shown to be applicable to the analysis of gamma - gamma angular correlation data in order to determine HFS couplings and nuclear magnetic moments of gamma -emitting states of nuclei. The correlation between the 123-kev gamma ray from Gd/sup 154/ and a preceding gamma ray is considered. Attenuation coefficients and correlation times were calculated. Reasonable values for the latter were obtained, but the observation of production of attenuation by a strong magnetic field perpendicular to the correlation plane could not be explained. (D.C.W.)
