Abstract

In this article, the author provides a unique perspective on the future of franchising and the role to be played by emerging markets. For many years, the franchise business model has been applied because it is seen as a “Sexy” and proven method for accelerating the growth and profitability of small businesses. Is it possible that accelerated growth and profitability have been outweighed by franchise market saturation? If so, how do you get franchising’s “Sexy” back?
