Abstract
New iron(II) compounds of formula [FeL 5(ligand)](ClO 4) 2 and [FeL 5X] +, where L = p-tolyl isocyanide and X = Cl or Br, have been prepared by treatment of [FeL 5OClO 3]ClO 4·H 2O with the appropriate halide or with the ligands alkyl CN, aryl CN, cyclohexyl NC, Ph 3P, Ph 3As or Ph 3Sb.
