Abstract

Employing the method of fundamental components, heuristic formulas are constructed for solving the problem of diffraction on a half-plane with non-ideal boundary conditions. The problem of diffraction of a TE-polarized wave on a half-plane with generalized two-sided impedance boundary conditions was chosen as a verification solution. The accuracy was increased by two types of adjustment functions. The effectiveness of the applied technique is proven by quantification of accuracy. This approach represents a new way to obtain high-accuracy heuristic formulas and allows one to create solvers that simultaneously have both high accuracy and high performance. The main result is the development and description of adjustment methods for increasing the accuracy of heuristic formulas.
