Abstract

Solid-phase procedures for hydrogenolysis, hydrogenation, and isotope exchange are described. The possibilities of the solid-phase method for deuterium or tritium labeling of organic compounds are demonstrated. The influence of the reaction conditions on the yield of the labeled products and on the degree of hydrogen isotope incorporation into them is considered. An attempt is made to rationalize the data obtained by processes occurring in the hydrogen isotope–catalyst–support–substrate system.
