Abstract

1. The kinetics of the polycondensation in the heating of terephthalyl and isophthalyl chlorides with 1,1,1-trimethylolethane and 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane in a high-boiling solvent (dinyl) was investigated. 2. Up to a degree of completion ∼0.5–0.6, the process obeys the principles of a second-order reaction. The apparent activation energies of the investigated reactions were determined.
