Abstract

SUMMARY From the very outset the reformatory movement in present-day christian philosophy, which is called the „Wijsbegeerte der Wetsidee” (Philosophy of the Cosmonomic Idea), was involved in a lively discussion with neothomism. This discussion took a promising turn since Dr. H. Robbers tried to approach the central point at issue between the new reformatory and the neo-scholastic way of philosophical thinking from the religious basic motives which rule their transcendental groundideas. This was in line with the radical transcendental critique of philosophical thought which the „Wijsbegeerte der Wetsidee” had developed as the only possible way of real communication between philosophical trends which lack a common starting-point.
