Abstract
AbstractGiven the global economy's dependence on female factory workers in developing nations, increasing numbers of organizations are realizing the value of improving the health of those workers with on‐site programs that address their unique needs. Since 2007, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) has partnered with forward‐thinking organizations to overcome the challenges in providing such services and creating a work environment where women can flourish. In addition to describing innovative initiatives from Levi Strauss & Co., Timberland, and Hewlett‐Packard, this article details how other companies can replicate their successes along supply chains around the world. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
