Abstract

A rare case of a true hernia of the spinal cord through a dural defect without evidence of acute trauma is presented. The cause and the differentiation from other congenital and traumatic spinal cord lesions, especially arachnoid cysts, are discussed. (Neurosurgery 29:916-919, 1991)
