ABSTRACT This article aims to explore the influence of heritage on Jordanian national identities, a topic that has received limited attention in research. Specifically, it examines the poetry of Nayef Abu Obeid to investigate how his work addresses the challenges of upholding heritage in the modern era. Furthermore, it assesses how his poetry contributes to the preservation and portrayal of Jordanian culture and identity. By delving into these aspects, this article offers valuable insights into the intricate connections between heritage, national identity, and the current global landscape. Such insights are crucial for advancing the promotion of Jordanian cultural heritage and fostering nation-building efforts.
