Abstract
Durante el porfiriato, la reforma a la educación primaria prestó especial atención a la enseñanza de la historia y también a la literatura de apoyo para impartirla. En este contexto, Heriberto Frías (1870-1925) escribió una colección titulada “Biblioteca del Niño Mexicano” que –fuertemente impregnada de la visión liberal— recrea diferentes episodios de la historia patria para forjar en los educandos un sentimiento de identidad nacional. El presente estudio analiza las referidas cargas ideológicas en uno de dichos opúsculos: La conspiración del marqués del Valle.
