Abstract
This research contains flora of Hereke region located Körfez county in Kocaeli province. The research area is located in A2 square according to grid system of Davis. According to results of evaluations, 146 genus, 202 species and subspecies taxon belonging to 46 families were determined. 3 of these taxa are endemic and rate of endemism is 1.48 %. Besides, it was determined that 2 taxa is new record for A2 square. The distribution of taxa by the floristic regions and ratios are as follows: Mediterranean elements 53 taxa (26.3 %), Euro-Siberian elements 34 taxa (16.8 %), widespread or unknown pyhtogeographic area elements 115 taxa (56.9 %). 1 of identified taxon belong to divisio Pteridophyta and 201 of them belong to divisio Spermatophyta.
