Abstract

Dr. Foxe, the author of this article, was Psychiatrist on the staff of the Great Meadow Prison, New York, from 1933 to 1939. He is now engaged in the practice of psychiatry in New York City. He is Associate Managing Editor of the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease and Associate Editor of the Psychoanalytic Review. Many people have a glib way of saying: It's heredity. There is a dearth of scientific discussions of heredity in relation to crime-and that's why this paper has been written.-EDIrroR
