Abstract A new distribution map is provided for Hercinothrips femoralis (Reut.) ( Heliothrips femoralis [Hercinothrips femoralis] Reut.) (Thysanoptera, Thripidae) (Banded Greenhouse Thrips). Host Plants: Banana, cotton, pineapple, sugar beet, sugar cane, ornamentals. Information is given on the geographical distribution in EUROPE, Romania, Spain, Yugoslavia, ASIA, Japan, Korea, Turkey, AFRICA, Canary Islands, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, AUSTRALASIA, and PACIFIC ISLANDS, Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, NORTH AMERICA, USA, WEST INDIES, SOUTH AMERICA, Argentina, Brazil.
