Abstract

In addition to the pulmonary and cardiovascular systems, the hepatic and renal organs are critical in maintaining homeostasis. As our population ages and medical breakthroughs continue, individuals present for oral and maxillofacial procedures with co-existing hepatic and renal disorders. This talk will review the pertinent aspects of a specific review of systems so that decisions about which patients with these co-morbid diseases can be appropriately treated in an ambulatory setting.
