Abstract

SignificancePWS have a great impact on patient's mental health, which requires early intervention. Hemoporfin photodynamic therapy provides new possibilities for the treatment of pulsed dye laser- resistant PWS patients and brings more hope to the families of millions of patients. ApproachWe reported the recovery of a case of pulsed dye laser-resistant PWS of the extremities after 17 sessions of hemoporfin photodynamic therapy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. ResultsThe erythra of the patient subsided significantly after treatment. ConclusionsHemoporfin photodynamic therapy is a novel and effective treatment for patients with PWS who are resistant to dye laser therapy.
