Hemodynamic heterogeneity of multiorgan donors in Poland

Abstract

OW L sympathetic activity combined with common hormonal deficiency in the brainstem of dead organ donors frequently lead to marked reduction in systemic vascular resistance. ‘2’ It was confirmed by experimental studies.3 The maintenance of mean arterial pressure above 70 mm Hg might be difficult despite excessive cardiac index sufficient for oxygen transport. Routine acceleration of catecholamines infusion leads to refusal of extrarenal organs acceptance and hastens kidney procurement. In this study, we investigated whether there are any differences in hemodynamic parameters in multiorgan donors referred to the national organization, Poltransplant, from the Cardiac Transplantation Centre, experienced in cardiovascular management, and the centers from the rest of Poland.
