Abstract
(Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand. 2016;95(6):672–682) Normal placental function and fetal development are dependent on unimpaired and adequate umbilical circulation. Therefore, it is important to study and understand the physiological hemodynamic changes that take place in the feto-placental circulation during intrauterine life, especially in high-risk pregnancies. This review presented contemporary concepts on the hemodynamics of feto-placental circulation based on human studies.
