Abstract
Abstract New phosphonate-phosphane ligands la-d1 were converted into the Rh and Ir complexes 2a-d and 3a-c. The open-chain Rh complexes 2a-d are more effective catalysts for liquid-phase MeOH-carbonylation with respect to known bisphosphane and phosphane-monoxide phosphane complexes [Rh(CO)L1]n, [Rh(cod)L2] (L1: Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2, Ph2P(CH2)3PPh2; L2: Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2).
