Abstract

To the Editor: —I have noted a paradox in the July 27th issue ofThe Journal, regardinghemangiomas in infancy. On page 33 the surgical management is supported, while on page 246 an opposite opinion is expressed and discusses the advantage of the conservative management. I support the consensus of a number of radiologists that most hemangiomas should be managed conservatively and that 90% of them will undergo complete regression without any definitive therapy. A letter on this same subject and concurring with the conservative type of treatment was received from Dr. Arthur Bobroff, Seattle, Wash.
