Abstract

Public libraries play a vital role in providing current, accurate consumer health information. This article details the use of an Express Consumer Health Outreach Award from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region to build a consumer health program for seniors at the Los Alamos County Public Library, and share the lessons learned during the implementation along with the lasting benefits of the award.
