Abstract

Helmet is used to protect the head of rider whenever the motorcycle is involved in an accident so that the rider could survive without a head injury. A large number of smart helmets are now available for purchase on the internet. and offline market but only concentrates on less parameters like (Using alcohol sensor or Force sensor) and not cost effective. So, we would like to propose a cost effective, unique and novel multi utility smart architecture for helmet which not only safeguards the rider but also sends text message of the rider’s location to their loved ones frequently and If he or she is involved in an accident, the concerned person will be notified. Sensing devices MQ-3 Alcohol Sensor, Force Sensor Resistor, 433 MHz RF module, and Bluetooth HC-05 are included in this project., Vibration Sensor Module SW-420, and a smart phone app for using GSM and GPS. When the rider wants to ride the bike, he needs to put on his helmet, connect to Bluetooth module using app and should also be sober. This will be made sure by the alcohol sensor and force sensor readings then the bike will start and lets the rider drive. The concerned person gets the location of the rider, frequently through message. In this way rider life can be saved by making him put on smart helmet. This smart helmet will use the latest and emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT). The work is progressed for users and easily adopt friendly and can be easily used by anyone.
