AbstractOil and Gas (MIC: 14.2 SIC: 1381 NAIC:213111)Helmerich & Payne is engaged in contract drilling of oil and gas wells for others. Co. is also engaged in the ownership, development, and operation of commercial real estate. Co.'s contract drilling business is composed of three business segments: domestic land drilling, domestic offshore platform drilling and international drilling. Co.'s domestic contract drilling is conducted primarily in Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, and Louisiana, and offshore from platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and California. Co. also operates in Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea, and Hungary. As of Dec 31 2003, Co.'s total rig fleet was comprised of 127 drilling rigs.
