Abstract
Abstract Thirty patients who had undergone Heller's operation for achalasia of the cardia have been studied. All but I had relief of the dysphagia at 1 year's follow-up. Five of the 14 patients followed for 10 years or more had severe reflux oesophagitis, 3 requiring further operative treatment.
