Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of the characteristics of an He?Ne ring laser stabilized by phase resonances at the 0.63 ? wavelength. It was highly efficient to use lasing phase resonances as frequency reference points and a frequency stability of 2?10?11 was obtained with an averaging time of 1?10 sec.
