Abstract

Basic equations relating temperatures, pressure drop, power generation and geometry are derived for cooling the vaccum wall and blanket regions of a fusion reactor with pressurized helium. Numerical results are presented for two cases which are applicable to use of a direct cycle pressurized helium gas turbine for power conversion in a fusion power reactor system.
