Abstract

The integrable generalization of the XXZ Heisenberg chain for an arbitrary spin s has been made on the basis of the U(1)-invariant solution of the Yang-Baxter equation. The thermodynamics of this magnetic system has been investigated. Using the same solution of the Yang-Baxter equation the integrable relativistic fermion model has been built which possesses the SU(2) × U(1) invariant two-particle scattering matrix. We provide some arguments to demonstrate the equivalence of this fermionic model and the model of the principal chiral field with a broken SU(2) symmetry. The Gell-Mann-Low function of the anisotropic chiral field has been analysed.
