Abstract
AbstractThe analgetic activity of 1,3,4‐trimethyl‐5‐cyano‐pyridazone‐(6) (I), a compound chemically similar to the pyridine‐alkaloid ricinine is discussed. Many similar derivatives have been prepared, but only pyridazones having in position 5 a cyano, in 3 and 4 alkyl, and in 1 a methyl group have shown a high analgetic activity in animals. The 6‐methoxypyridazine XX, isomeric with the first named compound, is the only pyridazine derivative which has shown similar analgetic activity.
