Abstract C array VLA H I observations have been made of the active radio lobe spiral galaxy, NGC 3079. We observe numerous H I arcs and filaments extending away from the plane of this edge-on galaxy which appear to be unrelated to the nuclear activity. The distribution, sizes, and energies of these features are similar to those of Galactic Heiles shells, and may be produced by star-forming activity in the disk.
