Abstract

Distributed spaceborne interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) system includes more than one baseline, so it is also called multi-baseline InSAR system. It offers additional observation information for the derivation of position and height of the object. The influence of the additional information to height-measure accuracy is analyzed by first order approximation. The influence of the baseline attitude on the measurement accuracy is also analyzed and a profile which describes the relationship between height measurement accuracy and baseline attitude angles is given. Signal simulation is made to validate the analysis results and error spread coefficients of single-baseline and multi-baseline system are listed for comparison. Results show that the additional information of the distributed InSAR system can reduce the error sensitivity of the single-baseline system.
