Abstract

This work discusses the continuous relevance of legal education in Nigeria viewed against the background of the need to establish rule of law on the wake of return to democratic rule in the country after long years of military intervention in Nigerian politics and governance. The work discusses the history and importance of legal education in Nigeria; the role of judiciary in governance among others, and concluded that an independent judiciary paves way for just and fearless dispensation of justice which in the end help to sustain democratic governance.
