Height Variations of Venusian Clouds

Abstract

IN a recent communication, Moroz1 reported variations of the height of the Venusian cloud tops at the equatorial and polar regions of the planet on the basis of his spectroscopic observations of the CO2 bands in the near infrared. We wish to point out that although such variations may indeed exist, we believe that it is impossible to draw these conclusions from the observations reported in ref. 1.
