Hegel frente a los clásicos : aproximaciones de Alexandre Kojève y Leo Strauss

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between the thought of Hegel and that of the Greek classics, especially Aristotle, in light of the comments of Alexandre Kojève and Leo Strauss. The difficulties of demonstrating either Hegel’s continuity or rupture with the classics are noted, as well as the need to deepen the investigation into what they understood by concepts such as being, the divine, the eternity, the eternal and the transcendent. Although clear differences can be seen between Hegel and the classics, if we consider certain nuances it is evident that there is a strong connection between them, which gives arguments in favor of the claim that classical thought culminates in Hegel.
