Abstract
We compare the results of calculations of heavy quark production cross section in leading log QCD to those parton model. The formulae of parton model are obtained from QCD via several subsequent simplifications. The cross section of b-quark production in LLA QCD is predicted to be 2 – 3 times larger than the parton predictions.
