Abstract

Total body concentrations of Cd, Pb, Fe, Zn and Chi were determined for Clethrionomys glareolus from ten national parks. The highest cadmium and lead concentrations were found in the bodies of animals from Ojcowski National Park (0.95 and 4.08 μ · g −1, respectively). The ranges of iron, zinc and copper concentrations in the animals were 148–296 μg · g −1, 81–109 μ·g −1, 5.7–9.5 μ·g −1, respectively. These results indicate relatively low concentrations of heavy metals in the bodies of bank voles collected in various national parks.
