Summary
Publisher’s Note: MDPI stays neutral with regard to jurisdictional claims in published maps and institutional affiliations. Soil contamination by heavy metals presents many problems for soil functions, the environment, agriculture production, food chains or even human health [1]. The evaluation of soil load by heavy metals must be supported by the knowledge of heavy metals’ background values, their inputs into soils, their behaviour and fate in the soil environment and their transfer into the plants or groundwater [2].
