Heavy Ion Transfer and Deep Inelastic Reactions

Abstract

As the beam energy of heavy-ion accelerators continued to increase, reaction channels other than complete fusion opened up. Almost 100 isotopes were discovered in deep-inelastic or multi-nucleon transfer reactions. The different detection techniques used for these discoveries are described in the chapter.
