Abstract
Heavy-ion stopping powers on light ansorbers (1≤Z≤8) were analysed in the framework of the Bethe-Bloch formalism, incorporating corrections for the projectile effective charge and the lowvelocity-projectileZ 3 effect. An analytical dependence of the effective-charge parameter, as a function of the projectile atomic number, was found. Calculations based on interpolating procedures are compared with experimental data.
