Abstract
Analytical study for evaporation from superheated water droplets in low pressure systems is presented for application to Open-Cycle Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion. The droplet size is considered to be approximately constant and sensible heat is the only source of energy for evaporation. Comparison between the experimental data and present prediction of the evaporator effectiveness are also provided.
