Abstract

Jet impingement with cross flow as applied to turbine blade cooling of various drying processes has become a well-established method of convection cooling or heating. This paper reports that the flow and heat transfer characteristics are investigated experimentally for the case when an approximately uniform air flow is injected through jet holes or slots in a wall issuing into a rectangular or concentric-annular channel.
