Abstract

An analysis has been made to investigate the influence of droplet trajectories and size distribution of polydisperse droplets on the heat transfer mechanism from an isothermal heated wedge put in air-water mist flow. To simplify the calculating process, an approximate calculation method with equivalent diameter theory is used. In the method, the equations of the water film flow have been solved by an integration method, while the equations of the gas flow have been solved by a finite difference method. The interface conditions between the water film and the gas layer have been determined by iterating the solutions of water and gas flows.
